This napkin is also reversible so each one can have a different look, if you want to learn how now, then watch this video tutorial by Notches Sewing on YouTube, and give it a try this week. Even beginners can surely do this even on their first try!
Step 1
Print the template, then cut it out, and tape the three pieces together. Prewash, dry, and press the fabrics nicely before using. Lay the 2 fabrics together, then place the template on top, and cut out the shape making sure not to include the selvage edges. Cut the notches at 1/8″, then clip a piece of rick rack around the curved edges of the main fabric, and stitch them in place.

Step 2
Lay the main fabric piece on top of the contrasting fabric with their right sides facing and edges matching, then clip all around the edges, and stitch them around with ¼ inch seam allowance making sure to leave an opening back tacking at the start and end. Cut the corners at an angle, then press the seams open, and turn the napkin right side out.
Step 3
Poke the corners nicely, then adjust and straighten the seams, and give it a nice press. Tuck the edges of the opening, then press it nicely, and stitch it close. Score the lines of the template, then lay it on top of the fabric, and mark right next to each fold as shown in the video. Stitch about ½” away from the bottom edges, then stitch along the marked lines, fold the napkin, and press.
