How to Upcycle a T-shirt Into a Hanging Planter

Don’t let an old t-shirt go to waste and use it in this DIY project instead. If you have a lot of plants in your house and you want to try hanging them, then use this idea by Homedit on YouTube and make one on your own instead of buying it from the store which is more expensive than this DIY version.
Materials:
- An old t-shirt
- Scissors
- Wire rings
- Plant pot
Directions:
Step 1
First, lay your t-shirt on a flat surface, then cut it straight across the front under the armpit, and cut the remaining rectangle into strips that are about 1 inch wide. Cut each strip on one seam, then pull each strip until it rolls into a tube as shown in the video, and lay each strip out making sure that the ends are even. Gather all of the strips, then hold them together, and tie them into a loop pulling it tightly to secure the know.

Step 2
Lay the bundle with the strips spread out, then pick up the first two strips on the left, and tie them into a know a few inches down from the larger knot. Repeat this step and continue tying the strips around as shown in the video, and once done tying the set of knots, place the plant pot in the middle before gathering the strips up. Gather the loose ends of the string, then insert them through a ring, and knot them securely. Take another strip, then tie it around the bundle, and wrap it tightly before tying it securely. Trim the ends of the strips at the bottom and hang the plant holder.
