Quilting is honestly a fun activity and one of the best hobbies I got myself into, from the moment I started up until now, I’ve probably made lots of different quilts, and for sure there are projects that I would are my favorites. This quilt idea by Jordan Fabrics on YouTube is perfect if you have a printed fabric that you really want to show off and highlight. Learn how now and proceed to the written instructions, and while you’re at it watch the video tutorial as well.
Step 1
Pick out the strips that you’re going to use, then cut the focus fabric and background fabric, and lay 2 strips together with their right sides facing and edges matching. Stitch them down one long edge, then finger press the seam allowance open, and iron it flatly. Repeat the process with the rest of the fabric strips, then lay 1 focus strip and 1 pieced strip together with their right sides facing and edges matching, and then sew them along one side. Lay a triangle ruler on top, then cut them into 5½ inches triangles, and proceed to cut the rest.

Step 2
Finger press them open, then iron them flatly, and trim off the dog ears. Lay together 1 background and 1 jelly strip together with their right sides facing, then sew down one side, and sew the other side as well. Cut them into 3½-inch triangles, then press them open with the seam allowance going toward the darker fabric, and iron them flatly before trimming off the dog ears. Assemble the pieces into a block as shown in the video and the pattern, then start sewing them piece by piece, and make sure to press every now and then. Make more blocks, then lay them out, and sew them together. Bind and quilt them however you want.
