I have tried many quilt projects before and most of them are pretty interesting, and I often find myself trying out unique patterns that seem very simple but also playful to look at. I like patterns that are wavy and rounded as opposed to straight-shaped ones, I just think they are lovelier and more fun to make.

Just like this storm sea quilt block by Teresa DownUnder on YouTube which at first glance looks like it has rounded and curved edges when in reality it used triangles. It is also very easy to piece together and I’m sure that you can give it a try even if you’re a beginner.
Step 1
Print the pattern and cut out the first piece, then fold along each printed line using a piece of cardboard, and do the same for the rest of the template pieces. Roughly cut the fabric pieces that will go on top of each unit, making sure they are enough to cover the pattern with a bit of allowance.
Step 2
Turn the pattern over, then put the first fabric on top covering the whole surface of piece 1 including the ¼-inch seam allowance, and pin it to the paper securely.

Step 3
Turn the pattern over, then fold it between pieces 1 and 2, and trim the excess fabric leaving ¼ inch seam allowance. Turn the paper over, align fabric 2 on top of fabric 1 with their right sides facing, and stitch them along the line between pieces 1 and 2.
Step 4
Continue to stitch the next fabric pieces using the same technique, and do the same for the rest of the template pieces as well making sure to press as you go. Stitch the block units together, then press the seams, and tear off the paper.
