This wonderful quilt by Trisha Perry Designs is already great as is, but this variation by Missouri Star on YouTube took it to another level and made it even more incredibly lovely! It’s a large quilt that would be great for hanging to show off your skills, but it would also make as the perfect gift.

At first glance, you’d think that this is a difficult project, but you’ll be surprised by how simple it actually is. It’s very easy to make and I bet that even beginners can pull this off perfectly on their first try. You can also use your scrap fabrics for this quilt project if you want.
Step 1
Download and print the pattern, then stack your fabrics, and cut them in half in both directions. Take the white or background square, then draw a line diagonally from corner to corner, and start making your half-square triangles.

Step 2
To make the half-square triangles, lay the white square with a print square with their right sides facing, and stitch on both sides of the line with ¼ inch seam allowance. Cut it apart along the marked line, then press the seams in whatever direction you want, and make sure it’s 5 inches in size, trim if needed.
Step 3
Now for the most important part, lay the block units per row making sure to refer to the diagram for the proper layout, and start stitching them together per row, give them a good press as you go.
