What I love about this recipe is that the flavor is so rich and the seasoning is perfectly balanced, but most of all is the fact that it’s ready in as fast as 30 minutes! Perfect for busy days or busy people, and the ingredients are pretty easy to find, too, most of them might even be available in your kitchen already.

Step 1

Place a pan on a stove over medium-high heat, then add the oil, and heat it before adding the onion. Give them a good stir and allow to cook for about minutes until softened, then add the garlic, and continue to stir and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 2

Add the carrot and mushrooms, then cook for about 2 to 3 minutes, and add in the ground beef. Give them a good toss breaking them apart and cook them for about 5 to 6 minutes until nice and brown, then pour in the wine, and bring the mixture to a boil.

Step 3

Once boiling, allow it to bubble for about 2 to 3 minutes until reduced by about ¾, then add the tomato puree, oregano, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, beef bouillon cube, diced tomatoes, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.

Step 4

Stir everything to combine, then bring it to a boil, and turn the heat to low. Let it simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes until thickened, then while waiting for the meat to finish cooking, prepare the pasta.

Step 5

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, then add the spaghetti, and cook it for about 10 to 12 minutes or until al dente, then drain off all the water. Serve the cooked spaghetti with the bolognese on top, then garnish it with green onions and parmesan cheese, and enjoy!
