  • Ruler
  • Scissors or rotary cutter and a cutting mat
  • Needle and thread
  • Iron, for pressing

Directions:

Step 1

Cut the fabric to size as instructed in the video, then fold the triangle and background square, and crease the midpoint. Layer the triangle centered on top of the square with their right sides facing and midpoints matching, then stitch them together, and press it open. Fold the side of the pieced square, then crease the midpoint, and stitch the triangle on that side making sure their right sides are facing and midpoints are matching.

Step 2

Press it open, then continue to piece the rest of the pieces together using the same process, then rotate the star point unit so that the straight edge is at the top and both points are at the bottom and lay the rectangle on the top edge with their right sides facing and edges matching. Sew them together, then press them open, and repeat with the rest.

Step 3

Now, lay the print square at the center making sure to rotate it so that it looks like a diamond, then place the star point blocks on each side, and fill the spaces with the remaining background triangles.
