As someone who has quilting as a hobby, I enjoy collecting different fabrics and threads so that I can have them ready when I need to use them for a future project. However, because of that I keep on hoarding materials and they’ve been piling up to the point where it consumes most of the space in my craft room.

That’s why I have been looking for a way to keep my threads and bobbins in control to save some space and at the same time have them all organized for easier access. Fortunately, I found this video tutorial by A Quilting Life on YouTube which teaches the best tips for organizing and storing sewing supplies.
#1: On the Wall Thread Rack
Storing and organizing your threads on the wall is not only a space-saver idea but can also serve as a decoration. This is also very functional because you can just see the threads and you can easily move them around when you need to use them.
#2: Thread Donuts
It’s also a great idea to purchase thread donuts where you can store and organize your little bobbins, and you can also get them easily when you need to use them. You can place these thread donuts in small bins along with the rest of your sewing supplies.
#3: Thread Boxes
With thread donuts mentioned above, for extra storage, you can put them in containers or boxes such as a clear plastic one that you can find from any Dollar store. You can also have them in different colors so you can separate them into categories accordingly or as needed.
