After cutting all of the fabric pieces accordingly, assemble and lay them together with one triangle and one rectangle on each side of the colored triangle, then start sewing them together, and press the seams open and flat. Once you’re done sewing a small block, trim off the excess white rectangle, then sew two of them together to create half a block, and make sure to press the seams open every now and then in the same direction. After sewing half a block, repeat the steps, then sew the two half blocks together, and press nicely. Square the block into 12½ inch squares, and start building a quilt.
