If you’re up for a challenge or you simply don’t know what project to start quilting with, then this peaks quilt idea by Jordan Fabrics on YouTube might be just the perfect one for you. Using only fat quarters and some coordinating fabrics, you can make this beautiful quilt on your own, and you’ll surely love the final results. The colors just pop out of the background fabric and although they might look quite complicated, you’ll be surprised to know that they actually aren’t that hard to make. Go ahead and try it out to see for yourself!
Step 1
Press the fat quarters before you start sewing, then cut them into strips as instructed in the pattern, and choose 3 strips of different colors. Sew the strips together nicely, then cut the background fabric, and sew them together with the pieced strips. If you don’t have a triangle ruler, then you can create one as shown in the video, and use it to cut the pieced fabric into triangle pieces.

Step 2
Next, cut the remaining background fabric and pieced strips into triangle pieces as well, then start laying them out on your work surface, and assemble them according to the pattern. Sew them piece by piece or per row, then trim off the corners poking out the sides, and then sew the rows together. Finish the project by adding the border, binding, and backing fabric, and then quilt however you want.
