If you’re up to a super easy quilt that you can make in less than an hour, try making this patchwork block quilt from The Melody of Sewing on Youtube. I can’t believe how easy and simple this quilt is – just perfect for beginners and a fun project for seasoned quilters. Make this today by following the step-by-step instructions in the video tutorial below.
Get two fabric squares and cut them into 6 x 6 inches in size. Draw a diagonal line and put the two squares’ right sides together. Pin them in place. Repeat this process and make a bunch of these. When you have enough, take them to the sewing machine and sew on both sides of the line you drew. After this, cut right through the drawn line. Press your half-square triangles open.

Next, get 5 & 1/2 x 5 & 1/2″ square fabrics. Draw a diagonal line, and put them right sides together. Pin in place and sew on both sides of the drawn line. After sewing, cut right through the drawn line and press open. You now have 4 & 3/4″ blocks. Make a bunch of these, then lay them out according to the picture below.
