Materials:

Directions:

Step 1

Press the fat quarters and background fabric nice and flat, then cut the fat quarters into 12 pieces each at about 3¼ by 8 inches, and cut each in half diagonally to have triangles. Get 2 triangles of different patterns and colors, then lay them together with their right sides facing, and their pointed edge should match nicely as shown in the video. Sew them together down one long side, then press the seams to open flatly, and make another unit using the same steps.

Step 2

Lay the two units together with their right sides facing, then sew them down one side, and press the seams open. Lay the template on top of the patchwork, then sew along the curved line, and trim off the excess. Fold the sewn template over to the other side, then lay it on top of a background square, and topstitch or embroider the curves and each seam however you want. Press both sides flat and nicely, then square the sides nicely and repeat the same process to create more blocks. Lay and assemble the blocks however you want, then stitch them together piece by piece, and you’re all done!
