This classic appetizer is now easier to make, with only a few ingredients and simple steps by this amazing YouTube channel, Delish! After watching the video tutorial, I immediately knew that I had to try making it at home, and I did. I was very happy with the result because it turned out to be really delicious that one bite won’t be enough. I almost finished eating the whole serving, it’s that yummy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 tube of refrigerated crescent dough
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1½ cups of cheddar cheese
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 pieces of jalapenos, ends and seeds removed, then halved
  • 16 pieces of mini hot dogs

Directions:

Step 1

First off, preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, then place a parchment paper on a large baking sheet, and set it aside. In a medium-sized bowl, add the cream cheese, garlic powder, bacon, and cheddar, then mix them all together using a spatula. Season them with salt and pepper, then stir them around until all of the ingredients are incorporated and well combined.

Step 2

Grab a knife and slice the crescent rolls into thirds long triangular shapes, then scoop out some of the cream cheese mixtures, and spread them into the dough. Place the mini hot dogs into jalapeño slices, place them on the thick end of the crescent triangle, and roll them up. Brush them with egg wash and bake in a preheated oven for about 15 to 20 minutes or until golden. Serve and enjoy!
