DIY Homemade Natural Vapor Rub Recipe

Vapor rub is commonly used to help ease the symptoms of cold and breathing easier, however, it’s also worth noting that this also has harmful chemicals such as; synthetic camphor, turpentine, and petroleum, so it’s best to opt out of using this and find a natural alternative instead. Ingredients:
- 30 drops of peppermint essential oil
- 2 tbsp of beeswax, grated or in pellets
- 30 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
- 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp of coconut oil
- 12 drops of vitamin e oil, optional
Materials:
- Small saucepan
- 4-ounce metal tin of glass jar with a lid
Directions:
Step 1
In a small saucepan, add the beeswax and coconut oil, then place them on a stove over very low heat, and let them heat up until melted and combined. Once they are ready and combined, turn off the heat, then remove them from the stove, and allow the mixture to cool down for about 1 minute. After cooling down, add the peppermint essential oil, eucalyptus essential oil, and vitamin e oil, if using.

Next, stir them together until well combined and incorporated, and then transfer the mixture to a metal tin or glass jar. Keep them covered with a lid tightly and use them whenever you need. Make sure to keep this away from children and do not use it for children under the age of 3 because some of the ingredients used in this DIY Vapor Rub can be harmful to them, so take caution when storing this.
