This pretty shelf is the perfect functional decor for your home and you can display your small items in there, or you can also use this shelf for your mini indoor plants or flowers. Learn how to make this shelf now in this video tutorial by Laurie R Creations on YouTube.
Step 1
Remove the decorative wrapping from the hoop, then pull the hoop open at connected ends, and empty out the moise-making pebbles. Reconnect the ends and paint your hoops black letting them dry completely, then place a long skewers diagonally across the hoop, and lay out where you want your shelves to land and mark them.
Step 2
Match the layout on the other hoop, then cut, paint, and attach 2 long skewers into place using E6000 and hot glue. Let them sit overnight until completely dried, then cut the other pieces for the spacers, and use brad nails to attach them in place. Paint the dowels, then attach them where the markings are, and nail them to both hoops.
Step 3
Add a small amount of hot glue around the ends of the dowel, then measure, cut, and paint the other pieces to fit in between the 2 long skewers making sure they are level with the outside dowels before hot gluing them in place. Lay the paint sticks where they should be and measure the length, then cut the boards, and sand the rough ends.
Step 4
At this point, apply a 2nd coat of paint to the entire project, then stain all the boards covering all top, bottom, and edges, and hot glue each board at the edges securing them to the top of the wood dowel. Do this for each shelf, then prepare the legs of the shelf, and attach them to the bottom as shown in the video.
