The steps are very detailed and she’ll walk you through all of the process so you don’t have to worry about messing it up. Step 1

First off, make the center of the granny square using white yarn, then once done with the circle piece, switch to gold yarn, and stitch around the white center to make a border.

Step 2

Get the red yarn, then create another border, and then back to the white yarn to make the next border but this time make sure to shape it into a square as shown in the video.

Step 3

Stitch a layer of square border around the previous white layer, then rotate the granny square so it looks like a diamond shape, and fold both corners on the side to the back.

Step 4

Stitch the edges together, then fold back the bottom corner as well, and stitch it in place. Add more crochet stitches to the base of the tree using gold yarn, then add a hanging loop if desired, and you’re done.
