  • 2 cans of fruit cocktail, or other fruit in syrup
  • ¾ cup of self-rising flour
  • ¾ cup of sugar
  • ¾ cup of milk
  • ¾ stick of butter or margarine
  • 1/8 cup of pecans, chopped
  • Nutmeg, to taste
  • Cinnamon, to taste

Step 1

Cut the butter into small pieces, then add them to a 2-quart casserole dish, and place it in the microwave or preheated oven to melt completely.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, sugar, and milk, then whisk them together until uniform and combined, and pour it into the casserole dish with the melted butter.

Step 3

Give them a good mix, then pour the canned fruit cocktail evenly into the batter, and sprinkle the cinnamon, nutmeg, and pecans on top.

Step 4

Put it in the oven and let it bake at 375°F for about 45 minutes or until brown and bubbly, then serve, and enjoy!
