This monogram crochet coaster is super cute and you can personalize it by using your preferred combination of colors, if you want to use your Dad or husband’s favorite colors, then that’s even better! Learn how now by watching this video tutorial by One Little Project on YouTube.
Step 1
Print out the pattern, then divide the yarn into small bundles, make a slip knot, and insert the crochet hook. Chain 18 and follow along with the template, each square of the grid represents 2 double crochets, then follow the arrows in a back-and-forth direction, and flip your work after each row.
Step 2
For the first row, start in the 3rd chain from the hook, then each row will have 16 double crochets in total, flip over your work and move up to the next row. Chain 2 at the start of each row, then continue with 2 double crochets for each square of the template, and switch yarn color when you reach filled-in sections of the grid.
Step 3
Make double crochets and leave yarn uncut if the template shows adjacent squares that you will be returning to later, then continue following the template, and lock the last strand when you finish the whole coaster. Add a border of your choice, then insert 1 single crochet into each stitch corner, and finish the border with a slip stitch into the first stitch. Cut and tie off loose ends, and you’re done!
