In this step by step tutorial, Curated Creations will teach you how to make this indoor planter from scratch using only a few crafting supplies. This will look absolutely gorgeous in your living room–trust me. Learn how by watching the video tutorial below for the step by step instructions.
To start, coat your bottle where you will mold your planter with some oil. Oil your hands as well (in this tutorial, the oil bottle was used as the mold). Next, take some clay and shape it into a circle, just a bit bigger than the bottom of the bottle, then place it there. Take some more clay, kind of roll it flatly, then wrap it around the bottle. Fix the clay, making sure to connect the bottom and the body part. Once done, insert a thin wire at the back.
Now, carefully remove the bottle from the molded clay. Take another piece of clay, roll it into a head-shaped piece, and then insert it into the wire (cut any protruding wire at the top). Fix the form of the clay to your desired shape, adding some details, then start painting it to the color of your choice. Once done, let the paint dry completely, then place the mini plants. Display in your living room or anywhere you desire.
