Put those glue sticks to use and repurpose them into faux crystals that glow! The instructions are easy and simple, so it doesn’t matter if you’re an expert or beginner in DIY crafts. They also look adorable and magical, you can display them in your bedroom or even in the living room. You also don’t have to worry about spending too much on this project because you would only need a few glue sticks and a led light base, then once you’ve learned the procedure, you can make your own twist and create a mason jar version, or even a larger version! This craft is a clever idea by DIY Designer on YouTube.
Step 1
Start by cutting the glue sticks into random lengths, then on one end of the pieces, carve and make a pointed tip with 6 sides. Next, carve and trim off the sides of the glue stick as well to form a hexagon bar. Repeat these steps with the other pieces until you got a few of them. Insert a skewer at the bottom end to hold the crystals. Fill a bowl with hot water, then submerge the crystals for a few seconds, this will make it shiny and look like glass

Step 2
Grab the led light base, then stick each of the crystals at the top randomly using hot glue. Cut the leftover trimmed gluesticks into smaller shards, then use them to decorate the sides and base of the led light. If you want to add some color to them, simply use a colored permanent marker and color the bottom of the glue sticks before inserting the skewer and submerging it into hot water, then color the led light base as well.
