I’ve been looking for cute kitchen storage ideas and inspirations everywhere and even went looking in Dollar Stores, but there’s just nothing that I seem to like. Until I found this video tutorial by ehow on YouTube, this is such a cute way to store fruits and veggies, plus it’s a space-saver idea, too!

You don’t need to allot or find a new space for storage in your kitchen because you can easily install these hammocks underneath your kitchen cabinets or shelves, and they also add a lovely look to your kitchen’s overall design.
Step 1
Attach the macrame cord to a dowel rod with Lark’s head knots, to do this, fold one strand in half, place the folded end under a dowel, then fold the loop over the dowel, and pull the 2 strands through the loop. Continue pulling the strands to tighten the knot, then repeat the same with the remaining strands, and tape the macrame cord to a flat surface.
Step 2
Separate the strands into four groups with four strands each, then tie a square knot in the leftmost group, and repeat the same with the rest of the strands working with one group at a time. Move the two leftmost strands to the side, then repeat with the two rightmost strands, and then group the 12 middle strands into three groups of four.
Step 3
Tie a square knot in each group, then regroup the strands into four groups of four, and tie a square knot in each group to create another row of four knots. Repeat this sequence, then alternate between four and three square knots, and continue until it reaches a length of 20 inches.
Step 4
Tie the ends of the strands to the other dowel, then tie them securely in a knot, and trim off the excess cord. Install the hooks underneath a cabinet or shelf, then hang the hammock, and put in the fruits or veggies.
