Step 1
Grab the background fabric, then cut it into a 16.5″ strip by the width of the fabric, and from that, sub-cut a 16.5″ square and two 16.5×12″ rectangles. The square is for the front and the rectangles are going to form the pillow back.
Step 2
Take the square and fold it in half twice, then press it down to give it a nice crease, and then place the circle template on top. Trace the curve, then cut it out, unfold it, and set it aside. Take the quarter circle, then put the additional piece of template at the bottom, take the rectangles, fold it in half, and give it a nice press.
Step 3
Place the template on top, then pin it in place, trace the curve, and cut it out. Grab the 10-inch square, then flip it over so its wrong side is up, place the interfacing with the glue side down, and make sure it’s centered. Press it down to fuse, then fold it in half, press, and cut the edges curved as shown in the video.
Step 4
Arrange the layers so their right sides are facing, then stitch along the curve, and turn it right side out. Press it down nicely, then continue to prepare the remaining petals, take the round base for the pillow, and then arrange the petals stitching them as you go. Keep building the petals until filled, then prepare the pompom, and put it at the center.
