While randomly browsing the internet and watching videos, I stumbled upon this beautiful project by Erica Arndt on YouTube. This beautiful bowl made out of rope and fabric is super easy to make and can be used to store your craft supplies and random items or as a bed for your pet.

You can use a jelly roll for this project or if you have other fabrics then you’re free to use them, too. Learn the easy steps to making this bowl by reading the written instructions down below, and while you’re at it make sure to watch the video tutorial as well for more details.
Step 1
Starting with one end of a rope, choose a strip that you want, then lay the end of the rope on top of the end of the fabric strip, and fold it over as shown in the video.
Step 2
Start wrapping the fabric around the rope overlapping it a bit, then hold the end with a clip, and continue rolling and wrapping the fabric overlapping each time, make sure to clip them in place now and then to keep it from unraveling.
Step 3
Remove the clip from the end, then start rolling it as shown in the video, and hold it in place with a pin. Bring it to the machine, then carefully remove the pin, and slowly sew them at the center.
Step 4
Now, sew along the edges with a zigzag stitch as you continue to roll making sure to get both layers each time, then once you reach the part without cover, get the next strip, and continue wrapping the rope and stitching them together until you reach the desired size of the bottom of the bowl.
Step 5
Once you start working on the sides of the bowl, tilt the base of the bowl, then keep building and adding rope until you reach the desired height, and when you’re at the end, fold the fabric over and stitch it securely backtracking at the end.
