A couple of weeks ago I found a plain shirt in my closet that I hadn’t used in a while and I don’t even remember that I have until I saw it. I couldn’t decide what to do with or where to wear it until I found this video tutorial by HGTV Handmade on YouTube which is fitting because it’s a great way to makeover an otherwise plain white shirt.

I tried it out in my shirt and the result looks so adorable, I’m sure my shirt will never be forgotten in the closet again because I’ll wear it repeatedly. The process of dip-dying the shirt is pretty easy and I might do this with my other clothes as well in different styles and patterns. If you also want to try it, then watch the video tutorial below to learn how.
Step 1
Prepare the dye in the measuring cup and use only about half a packet, then add half a cup of salt or white vinegar, and pour some warm water in them. Mix them around until dissolved, then pour them into a bucket of warm water, and give them a good mix.
Step 2
Dip your gloved hands in a bucket of clean warm water, then wet the top half of your shirt in it, and wring it out really well. Slowly dip the shirt into the pink bath, swish it around a little bit, then squeeze it out, and rinse it in warm water. You may need to change the water once or twice, then squeeze out all of the excess water, and hang it to dry.
Step 3
Once completely dried, prepare the green dye, then dye the other part of the shirt the same way you did earlier, and hang it to dry completely. The final step is to paint the seeds onto the shirt as shown in the video, then let it dry completely, and you’re done!
