You can adjust the size of the paper rosettes to create a larger or smaller wreath, and you can add embellishments to suit your style—whether you prefer a minimalist look or a more extravagant design.

How to Make Sock Dolls

Step 1: Cut the Paper Strips

Cut red and green paper into strips using the following sizes:

Large rosette: 1.5 × 11 inches
Small rosette: 2 × 11 inches
Step 2: Score and Fold the Strips

Place the paper strip horizontally on a scoring board and score lines ½ inch apart across the entire strip. Fold back and forth along the scored lines to create an accordion fold.
Step 3: Form the Rosette

Connect the ends of two folded strips, ensuring the folds face opposite directions so they interlock, and secure with glue. Then glue the remaining ends to form a circle, and press the center down to shape the rosette.
Step 4: Secure and Decorate

Cut a 1×1-inch square from the same color of paper and glue it to the back center of the rosette to cover the hole and hold the shape. Then glue a button on the front center to decorate and hide the opening.
Step 5: Make More Rosettes

Make several more rosettes in dark green, light green, and red, in both small and large sizes. The exact number will depend on your wreath form.

For a peppermint rosette, paint red diagonal stripes on bond paper, let it dry, then fold and assemble following the same steps as the other rosettes.

Once all rosettes are ready, plan their arrangement on the wreath. When satisfied, hot glue them in place and add a folded ribbon for hanging.
