I’m always excited for the Christmas season because it’s my favorite holiday, and whenever it’s that time of the year again, I always make crafts and projects to decorate the house or give as a gift to loved ones. There are a lot of projects that you can find online and try to make at home, and most of the time you can even find ones that are affordable or use repurposed items. One of those kinds of DIYS is this one by At Home with Ashley on YouTube which only requires bottle brushes to make pretty Christmas trees!

Step 1

Cut the wire off the end of the bottle brush, then straighten the wire, and cut the bottle brush into two shorter lengths.

Step 2

Cut the base into a square at 2½” x 2½”, then find the center, and drill a hole about ¾ of the way through.

Step 3

Sand down the rough spots, then trim the brushes with your scissors until they’re shaped like a tree as shown in the video, and hot glue the brush to the wood base.

Step 4

Spray paint the brush trees, then allow them to dry completely, and add a second coat if desired.
