How to Build a DIY Backyard Connect Four

This summertime, enjoy playing with your family outdoors with this game idea by Hallmark Channel on YouTube. It’s very easy to build but you can also ask a family member or friend to help you out, and you can also paint and design this however you want. Both kids and adults alike will surely have a fun time playing with this, so learn how to build this now and place it in your yard.
Materials:
- Nail gun
- Screws
- Drill
- Wood glue
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Hole saw
- Plywood sheets
- Wood
- Plywood round
- Hinges
- Velcro
- Frisbees
- Paint
Directions:
Step 1
Draw the outline on the back piece plywood sheet to place your 2x2s in and make sure to place and space them evenly, then remove the 2x2s, apply wood glue to the outlined areas, and put back the 2x2s nicely. Attach the nails to hold them in place and set them aside for later, then outline the front piece of plywood sheet, and cut out the 6-inch holes all over it evenly. Set the front piece aside, then lay the back piece, and apply glue on top of each 2×2.

Step 2
Place the front piece on top, then line them up nicely and evenly, cut the round plywood in half, and attach them into 2x2s. Now, attach these pieces to the side to serve as the brace and legs so that it can stand right up, then attach the hinges and a piece of 2×2 at the bottom for the trapdoor, and attach the velcro all over the length so that you can open and close the trapdoor. You can now start playing it using Frisbees in 2 different colors, the objective of the game is to connect 4 of your own discs.
