Materials:

  • Yarn, light blue, white, and pink
  • Toilet paper tube
  • Scissors

Directions:

Step 1

Roll the white yarn on a paper tube about 60 times, then roll the blue yarn beside it about 100 times, and cut off both excess tails. Carefully remove them from the tube and tie them together in the middle with a piece of blue yarn making sure to knot it tightly. Do this process one more time to create another set of blue and white yarn rolls. Lay one set on top of the other, then knot them together in the middle twice tightly. Cut through the loops of one set, then trim it until nice and round before cutting through the loops on the other side. Separate some pieces of yarn in the center for the shark tail, then tie it tightly before trimming and shaping the body of the shark.

Step 2

Brush the tail with your fingers to spread the yarns out, then shape it nicely. Cut a piece of pink yarn, then place it horizontally on your forefinger, and wrap a pink yarn around them about 6 times. Next, grab the white yarn, then wrap it around your finger right next to the pink yarn about 4 times, then wrap them together using the piece of pink yarn placed horizontally. Knot them tightly, then sew this piece in front of the shark’s head for its mouth, and trim it following the round shape of the head. Wrap the blue yarn around 2 of your fingers about 6 times, then tie in the middle tightly, sew on top of the shark’s body for the dorsal fin, and trim it nicely. Lastly, wrap the blue yarn around 1 finger 5 times, tie in the middle, then create another set, and sew them on each side of the body for the pectoral fins, trim the fins and you’re done!
