- 1 tbsp of garlic powder
- 1 tbsp of onion powder
- 1 tbsp of seasoned salt
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp of minced garlic
- 1 cup of low-sodium chicken broth
- ½ cup of orange juice
- 2 to 4 tbsp of low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp of brown sugar
- 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
How to Make Crockpot Jerk Pulled Pork:
Step 1
Put the pork shoulder in a large bowl, then brush the jerk seasoning generously all over making sure to cover all sides, and season it with garlic powder, onion powder, and seasoned salt.
Step 2
Press the seasonings well to the meat, then set it aside, and let it marinate for a couple of minutes to allow the meat to soak in all of the flavors from the seasonings.
Step 3
In a separate large bowl, add the chicken broth, orange juice, apple cider vinegar, low-sodium soy sauce, and brown sugar, then whisk them until incorporated, and set the mixture aside.
Step 4
Preheat your crockpot on high, then carefully place the seasoned pork shoulder in the middle, and spread the chopped onion all over the crockpot followed by the minced garlic.
Step 5
Pour in the broth, then cover the crockpot with the lid, and allow the pork to cook for about 4 to 6 hours on high or 6 to 8 hours on low. Shred the meat, then serve, and enjoy!
