Step 1

Place a skillet on a stove over medium-high heat, then add the ground beef and break it apart, and then cook them until nice and brown. Transfer the cooked beef into the crockpot, then in the same pan, cook the bacon until crispy, and transfer it to the crockpot followed by the sausage.

Step 2

To the same pan, add the onion and cook them until translucent, then transfer them to the crockpot including the juices or bacon grease, turn off the heat, and stir everything in the crockpot.

Step 3

Add in all of the beans and continue stirring, then in a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, molasses, chili powder, salt, pepper, and mustard until uniform, and then pour the sauce over the meat mixture.

Step 4

Put the lid on the crockpot, then allow it to cook on a low setting for about 4 to 6 hours or on a high setting for about 2 to 4 hours, and then top it with a layer of grated cheese. Serve and enjoy!
