This recipe is very simple and easy to do, and I’m sure that even beginners can do this perfectly on the first try. The flavor and overall taste of the cordon bleu are delicious and perfectly balanced. I am definitely going to use this recipe again in the future!
Step 1
Slice the chicken breasts through in half and butterfly them as shown in the video, then place them in between a parchment paper, and pound them with meat tenderizer until flat and tender. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste, then lay the ham slices on top, and put cheese slices over them. Grab one long edge of the chicken, then roll it over, and hold the seams with toothpicks. Set them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper with a wire rack over it, then season the chicken breast rolls with whatever you want or leave it as is.

Step 2
Dredge the chicken rolls in flour until completely covered, then dip them in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs nicely. Put them back on the rack, then place them in the preheated oven at 375°F or 190°C to cook for about 30 to 35 minutes. While waiting for the chicken rolls to cook prepare the white sauce, place a skillet pan on a stove over medium heat, then add the butter, and let it melt.
Step 3
Add a couple tablespoons of flour, then whisk everything until brown and cooked, and pour in the milk a little at a time while stirring consistently until thick and combined. Add the Dijon mustard and parmesan cheese, then stir them until melted and combined, and turn off the heat. Cut the rolls into thick slices, then serve with the prepared sauce drizzled on top, and enjoy!
