When it comes to choosing the perfect quilt block to make, I always pick the one with the easiest steps and quilt blocks where you can use a lot of colorful fabrics. The continental quilt block by Art Gallery Fabrics on YouTube is a great example and it’s a project that I’m sure you’ll have so much fun making.

You can use any print or color of fabric for this project, even fabric scraps. The pattern of this quilt block would be great for table runners, potholders, table toppers, and more. Learn how now by watching the video tutorial below. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
Step 1
Download the pattern, then cut the fabrics according to the instructions, and start making then half-squares triangles. Get the D and C fabrics at 4 inches, then stack them with their right side facing, and stitch them on all sides. Cut them in half diagonally in both directions, then press them open, and set them aside.
Step 2
Next, get the 5¾ inches from fabric E and F, then line the wrong side diagonally from both directions and stitch on either side of the line. Cut them apart along the line, then cut them in the middle in both directions and press them open.
Step 3
Arrange everything into a block as shown in the pattern or video, then separate them into units, and press the units nicely making sure to press as you go. Make the strip, then stitch in between the units, and press as you go.
