This is one of my favorite quilts to make and I bet that you would love this, too. It’s also the perfect quilt project for beginners to try and there’s no way that you can mess this up. Learn how now by watching the video tutorial below and see for yourself.
Step 1
Cut the wadding, backing, and tulle fabric to size, then lay the backing fabric right side up, and place the wadding and tulle fabric on top. Smooth them out nicely, then clip them together, and stitch the sides and bottom with ¼ inch seam allowance leaving one end open. Trim off the excess, then get a bunch of scraps, and cut them into smaller pieces.
Step 2
Place the cut scraps in between the wadding and tulle fabric, then spread them evenly, and stitch the opening closed. Start sewing the entire piece diagonally from corner to corner, then make more diagonal stitches, and make sure to space them apart evenly at ½ inch. Rotate the piece and stitch diagonally in the other direction, then add the binding all the way around, and you’re done!
