These coffee filter flowers are a great table centerpiece alternative to real flowers. Suzy rebelo has created a masterpiece with this coffee filter flower DIY. The flowers are super easy to make, take very little time and you likely already have all the materials you need to make them at home. You can get really creative with this DIY by mixing up different colors of food coloring into the water bowl, and you can make them darker or lighter with different amounts of coloring.

Materials Needed For This DIY:

  • Coffee Filters
  • Water
  • Food Coloring
  • Flowering Wire
  • Hot Glue
  • Hot Glue Gun

Directions:

Step One

In a bowl, pour some warm water and some food coloring. Use about 10 drops of food coloring.

Step Two

Take about 10 coffee filters and dip them into the water. You can soak them for a minute or so to get the dye to soak in better.

Step Three

Ring out the coffee filters by squeezing the water out and then place the coffee filter onto a pan to dry.

Step Four

Place the coffee filters into the oven at 250 degrees for 5 to 10 minutes or until they are dry.

Step Five

Draw out a pattern to cut the filters with. The example patterns are in the descriptions box of the YouTube video down below. Cut and draw the pattern out onto a blank coffee filter. Begin cutting the shapes out with the filters

Step Six

Use flowering wire to create the coffee filter flowers. Use hot glue to attach the initial filters to the stem.

Step Seven

Create a ring of glue on your first coffee filter and then stick it on the stem you created. Continue this step until you’ve created the number of flower petals you would like on your flower.
