If you need some cleaning motivation today, then check out these tips by Clean My Space on YouTube, and find out which of these habits are you guilty of. Learn how to break those habits and improve the cleanliness of your bathroom with the help of this video tutorial.
#1: Do not use too many products
Using more products as suggested such as laundry detergent or soap will make cleaning worse and require more rinsing than intended. This also applies to when you clean surfaces or your floor, the soap will get sudsy and sticky that they are difficult to rinse off. So always remember to use less product and refer to the instructions at the back of the packaging.
#2: Prevent moldy bath mats and shower curtains
If you always forget to clean your shower curtains and bath mats, they can get moldy and dirty over time, and eventually, they can get moldy and emit bad odor. This can also happen if you don’t close your curtain all the way because the moisture gets stuck on the folds and they become mold. So make sure to pull up the bath mat, close your shower curtain all the way, and turn on your overhead exhaust. Leave that on for at least 30 minutes.

#3: Do not use dirty cleaning tools
Cleaning with dirty tools will make the surface look physically dirty because the grime and dirt that got stuck on the tool will just redeposit back on the surface you’re cleaning. This can also spread bacteria even more, so before you start cleaning, make sure to clean your tools first such as your brushes, sponge, cloth, and more.
#4: Do not use disinfectant wipes frequently
Disinfectant wipes are very convenient to use but they are not designed to clean entire surfaces so relying on that alone cannot guarantee a clean surface throughout. So if you want a clean and disinfected area, make sure to use the right products and tools, such as an all-purpose cleaner and microfiber cloth.
#5: Do not pile up damp towels and clothes
Hang your damp towel and clothes in your hamper while there’s still wet because mold and mildew can get trapped on the folds of the cloth, and eventually form and smell. Make sure they are fully dried first before you throw them in your laundry, this way your towels and clothes will not smell bad.
