This quilt block idea by Carol Thelen on YouTube is very beautiful and easy to piece together using only assorted fabric strips and a background fabric, you can also your pile of leftover scrap for this one, and I guarantee you it will look pretty. I’ve already done a couple of this block and combined different colors and patterns, and I loved every single one of them, you should try this quilt this weekend, you won’t regret it. Learn how now by reading the written instructions down below and watch the video tutorial as well.
Step 1
Download and print the pattern, then cut the strips to length as instructed in the pattern, and cut the background fabric to size as well. Line the small background squares diagonally from corner to corner, then place 1 square on top of 1 strip lining the edges nicely, and make sure their right sides are facing.

Step 2
Stitch them together a bit on the right of the drawn line, then cut off the excess fabric with ¼ inch seam allowance, and press them open. Repeat the same process for the remaining strips and squares, then lay them out into a block as shown in the diagram, and start piecing them together one at a time making sure to press the seams open as you go.
