Easy Bottle Hydro Dipping Technique Tutorial

I love collecting bottles because I always wanted to make decor out of them. I already tried some crafts using them and they turned out really pretty. However, when I saw this painting technique by DIYNoNeedToCry on YouTube, I already knew that this would be my new favorite way of painting my craft materials. You should check it out too, not only is it very easy to do but also faster than the usual way you’d paint them, plus the pattern and swirls it creates looks really beautiful!

Materials:

• Bottles
• Primer spray paint
• Spray paint with different color
• Latex gloves
• Large bucket

Directions:

Step 1

Make sure that the bottles you’re going to use are clean and don’t have any dirt stuck in their body to avoid clumps of paint. Next, prime them with spray paint, then let them dry completely. Fill a large bucket with water, then submerge your primed bottle and fill it with water to avoid it from floating back up when you start dipping it later. Wipe off any water in the bottle’s body because the paint will cling to it later.

Step 2

Start spraying the water directly with white, then pink, and gold, hold 2 cans at once to avoid the paint from drying, and continue spraying them alternately to build your bullseye. Mix the colors that you want once you get the hang of it, then hold the bottle in its mouth, and slowly dip the bottle down vertically as you slowly twist it around. Leave it for a while, then remove the paint on top of the water with your hands, and once the water is clear, lift the bottle up, then set it aside as you let the paint dry completely.
