  • 1⅓ yard of white fabric
  • ¾ yard of teal blue fabric
  • ¾ yard of medium blue fabric
  • ¾ yard of dark blue fabric
  • ¾ yard of light green fabric
  • ¾ yard of medium green fabric
  • ⅜ yard of yellow fabric
  • ⅔ yard of orange
  • Scissors or rotary cutter and a cutting mat
  • Needle and thread
  • Iron, for pressing

Directions:

Step 1

Mark the fabric pieces that you will be using as the pattern indicates, then cut them accordingly, and match the appliques to the fabric. Next, cut the applique as close to the edges as possible, no seam allowances are needed, then grab a piece of tape, and remove the lint all over the applique.

Once you’ve matched the background fabric with the applique, start sewing the shape around with a blanket stitch, then continue the process with the rest of the fabric, and once done, start piecing the blocks together making sure to add the sashing as well.
