This patchwork quilt block idea by Ange Wilson – GnomeAngel is one of the easiest and simplest ones that you can make today. It is made up of only 2 fabrics and you can choose to use any pattern or color of your choice. This quilt block can be finished within just a few minutes and you can make a lot of patterns using only this block.

Even if you’re new or a beginner in quilting, I’m sure that you can do this perfectly on the first try, it’s that easy to make. Learn the steps now by reading the instructions down below and while you’re at it watch the video tutorial as well.
Step 1
Download and print the pattern, then cut the fabric pieces according to the size as instructed in the pattern guide, and lay them out as shown in the video. Work on the half-square triangles first, to piece them, lay together the triangle fabrics with their right sides facing, and stitch them with a ¼ inch seam allowance.

Step 2
Press the fabric open, trim the half-square triangle into a 5.5-inch square, and do the same for the remaining triangle fabrics. Start joining the pieces per row, press the seams as you go, and stitch the rows to each other. Give the block a final press and you’re done.
