Homemade Beef Noodle Skillet Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of salted butter
- 1 yellow onion (diced)
- 3 cloves of garlic (minced)
- 1 pound of ground chuck
- kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
- 12 ounces of egg noodles
- 2 1/2 cups of beef broth
- 1 tablespoon of grainy mustard
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
- a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup of sour cream
- 2 tablespoons of heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh chives
How to Make Beef Noodle Skillet
Step 1:
Place a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Once melted, add the onion and garlic and saute for 1 minute.
Step 2:
Add the ground chuck and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes, then add the tomato paste and cook for 30 seconds.
Step 3:
Add the noodles, beef broth, 1 cup of hot water, mustard, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and let it come to a simmer. Cover with the lid and cook for about 12 minutes while stirring occasionally and adding up to 1/2 cup more water if needed. The pasta should be al dente and the sauce thickened.
Step 4:
Stir in the sour cream and heavy cream and cook for a minute.
Step 5:
Remove from heat and sprinkle chives on top. Serve and enjoy!
