Trying out this recipe has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made because now I love asparagus more than I did before. So if you also want to try something new with asparagus, then check out the full recipe below, and prepare to be impressed. This is a great dish to serve as an appetizer or a side, you can also make this for parties or cookouts.
Step 1
Fill a pot with water and add some salt, then add the asparagus, and boil them for about 5 minutes. Turn off the heat, then remove the asparagus from the pot, and let it drain off all the excess water.
Step 2
Unroll the puff pastry, then cut it into strips, and then start assembling the pastry twist. Place the bacon on a cutting board, then place the asparagus, and roll it over until wrapped.
Step 3
Next, roll and wrap the bacon-covered asparagus in a strip of puff pastry, then transfer them to a baking tray lined with parchment paper, and space them evenly.
Step 4
Brush them with beaten egg on top, then place them in an oven preheated at 190°C or 375°F, and allow them to bake for about 25 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
