How to Make Upside-Down Puff Pastry Breakfast:
#1: Green Onion Egg
Preheat your oven to 375°F, then place a slice of butter on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and place a thawed puff pastry rectangle on top of the butter slice making sure that the flour side is facing down.
You can crimp the edges and brush it with eggwash if you want, then put it in the oven, and prebake it for about 15 minutes until puffy and golden brown. Let it cool to room temperature on a wire rack, then flip it over, and carefully cut a hole in the center.
Crack an egg on the hole, then season it with salt and pepper to taste, and top it with green onion. Put it back in the oven to bake for another 10 minutes or until the eggs are set to liking, then let it cool slightly, and serve.
#2: Maple Bacon
Preheat your oven to 400°F, then arrange the bacon on a baking sheet, and bake it for about 8 to 10 minutes.
Drain off all the fat and chop the bacon into bite-sized pieces, then drizzle 1 teaspoon of maple syrup on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and arrange the bacon piece over it.
Lay a thawed puff pastry on top, then crimp the edges and brush with eggwash if desired, and let it bake for about 15 to 18 minutes. Allow it to cool slightly, then flip it over, and serve.
#3: Garlic Mushroom
Preheat your oven to 400°F, then slice the mushroom cap and garlic clove thinly, and slice the butter as well.
Place the butter on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then top it with garlic slices, and then put mushroom slices on top.
Season them with salt and pepper to taste, then lay a thawed puff pastry on top, crimp it, and brush eggwash if desired. Bake it for about 15 to 18 minutes, then let it cool on a wire rack, and flip it over. Serve!
