Ingredients for Caramel Apple Dump Cake:

  • 2 (20 oz) cans of apple pie filling
  • 1 (12.25 oz) jar of caramel sauce
  • 1 (15.25 oz) box of white cake mix
  • 2 sticks of butter, unsalted

Spices (optional)

  • 2 tbsp of lemon juice
  • ½ tsp of ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp of ground ginger
  • 1/8 of nutmeg
  • 1/8 of salt

How to Make Caramel Apple Dump Cake:

Step 1

Mix together the spices except the salt in a small bowl if using, then set them aside. In a baking dish, add the apple pie filling and spread it evenly, then drizzle the lemon juice, and sprinkle the spices all over the top evenly. Lightly mix the spices into the juices, then pour the caramel sauce, and spread it evenly on top.

Step 2

Sprinkle the salt if using, then pour the white cake mix all over until the top is entirely covered, and then slice the butter thinly before placing it all over the top of the cake mix layer. Place it in an oven preheated at 350°F, then let the cake bake uncovered for about 1 hour or until the top is brown and crispy. Serve and enjoy!
