For the bottom corners, make one of the shorter binding strips and open up one side. Fold it in half and pinch to mark the center. Place the binding on the bottom edge of the pouch, matching the centers and the edges, then clip to secure. Back tack starting at the edge of the pouch just to the right of the crease, then back tack at the other end of the pouch. Fold the binding over, just covering the stitching, then clip the center. After this, fold over the end of the binding right at the corner, then pull down on the end until it’s about 1/4″ down from the bottom fold. Fold along and push the end into the binding. Adjust it until a nice neat triangle, then clip it in place. Repeat on the other side. Edge stitch close to the fold, backtacking at each.
Open up the binding completely, fold it in half, and pinch the center. Match the edges and the center and stitch across, backtacking at each end. Trim all the threads once done. Next, fold up the binding and just crease the sides a bit more. Following the 45-degree angle, trim the ends of the binding from the corners. After this, fold up the bottom corner tightly so it’s in line with the edge of the pouch. Pinch it, then fold down the edge so it just covers the stitching. Press and clip in place. Repeat on the other side. Next, fold the top along the original crease. Fold again so the edge just covers the stitching and clip in place. Stitch close to the edge, backtacking at the start and finish.
