Materials:

  • Dollar tree wooden blocks
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Wood stain or paint
  • Mason jar
  • Candle jar or glass
  • Candle

Directions:

Step 1

Place a mason jar on your work surface, then lay a few blocks around the bottom of the jar spacing them slightly smaller than the size of the wooden block, and make sure that you space them apart evenly. Place the second layer of blocks making sure to lay each block on top of the spaces on the bottom layer, then once done assembling the layers, hot glue the pieces together, alternate the colors of the blocks on each layer, and repeat until desired height.

Step 2

You can also lay the blocks standing on their long side instead of placing them flatly for a different style. Once done building the blocks, place a small candle jar or glass inside, then put a candle inside, and light it up. You can also stain or paint the blocks with whatever color you want.
