Pampas grass is super boho, which is what my room and the style of everything I have now. I’ve always loved the simple natural look. I think having a few in a clear long glass vase would be so stylish. I’ve found pampas grass at Target and Urban Outfitters that I’ve been wanting to buy, but for some reason, I thought they were a little pricey to buy something like that. So, coming across Justin Wray’s tutorial on YouTube was a perfect idea. My best friend kept telling me she wanted to buy pampas grass, but never did either. I don’t think they run too expensive, but we are those kinds of people who want to make things if it means a lower cost. Plus, it’s fun to DIY something as simple as pampas grass. At first, I didn’t think it was this simple to create this. This project is super innovative and creative. I’m excited to show my friend how easy it is to create this, and we can finally have pampas grass in our living space.
First, you’re going to need a piece of cardboard to create your tassels on. Make sure to tape over the cardboard so it’s hard, and won’t get easily worn out when you wrap the twine over and over again.
After you finish creating your tassels, start wrapping your rod or bamboo stick with the cotton twine. It’s helpful to add a little hot glue down the rod when wrapping the twine around so it is more secure.
Justin Wray’s tutorial gave amazing instructions, and they were easy to follow along. I can’t believe he made all six pampas grass for only $3. I had no idea it was this simple to make, and it’s time to start making these to add to my room!
