Instructions:

Step 1:

Flip the planter upside down and paint with white spray paint gloss white. Let it completely dry before painting the insides.

Step 2:

Use 4 pieces of the pawn from the dollar tree chess game as the feet of the planter. Attach them using E6000. Arrange them properly so the planter can stand straight and carry the weight. Once you are satisfied with the arrangement, attach them by adding glue to the edges. Allow them to completely dry for a minimum of 24 hours.

Step 3:

Once it’s completely dry, outline the words (flowers & garden) using an acrylic paint pen. It doesn’t have to be perfect and neat.

Step 4:

Using black matte paint and brush, outline the curve on the top and bottom of the enamel tub. You can also use a foam brush. Then paint some random pieces where it looks like the paint might have chipped. Let it dry.

Step 5:

Make a faucet using a candy cane from the dollar tree or a PVC pipe. Remove everything from the candy cane and cut the bottom of the curve to make it straight. If you have 2 soap pumps at home that you no longer use, you can use them for this project. Spray paint everything black and let them dry.

If you’re going to add a hose BIB, cut the curve of the candy cane much shorter and spray paint it white. Let it dry and attach using hot glue and E6000.

Step 6:

Add a strip of E6000 to the middle of the planter then hot glue on the back of the candy cane. Attach the pumps on the left and right of the candy cane with E6000 and hot glue.
