Here’s an idea that might be a good idea for Valentine’s Day decorations or gifts for loved ones, and it does not cost much to make or take too much time, it’s a DIY Yarn Love Bug made from a simple skein of yarn. When I saw this cool DIY on Youtube I knew I had to make it, I started by gathering my materials together:
Materials:
- Yarn
- Scissors
- Googly Eyes (from Michael’s Craft Store)
- Hot Glue Gun
- Glue Sticks
- Pipe Cleaners
- Paper Hearts
- Valentine Decorations (for the top of your adorable love bugs)
Wrap yarn around your hand (like making a pom-pom) and tie in the middle then cut at each end.
Then stick a pipe cleaner in the top of your cute DIY Yarn Love Bug (to make antennas) and stick on your googly eyes with your trusty hot glue gun.
Then stick your paper hearts on the ends of the adorable love bugs antennas.
These DIY Love Bugs are the cutest thing you’ve ever seen, I made a boxful for my kids to take to school to give as Valentine’s Gifts for their Teachers and classmates. Everyone loves them so and this is an excellent project for kids to make as well, when they are getting bored, you just get out your trusty bag of yarn and few pairs of safety scissors and they will be happily occupied for hours.
