This DIY Wizard of Oz Wicked West Halloween decor is such a creative idea by eHow on Youtube. There are only 5 supplies required for this DIY and it’s a cool way to switch up Halloween decor by making it yourself. I think what pulls my attention the most is how the legs were made out of pool noodles. As summer is coming to an end, you can repurpose your pool noodles into Halloween decor. If you’re a Wizard of Oz fan, this would be a great hit to trick-or-treaters that are stopping by your house for candy. I would be tricked to see a pair of legs coming out of the house, and think it’s cool.

Supplies:

  • pool noodle
  • black and white striped socks
  • red ruby slippers
  • knife
  • duct tape

Directions:

First, use a knife to cut the pool noodle in half. Make sure it is the same length. Then, cut a piece out of each noodle to create an indentation, and remove the pieces. You’d want to cut through almost all the way so the “foot” portion is able to bend to make the shape of the ankle.

Next, pull the socks on the pool noodle over the “feet” and “legs” and add the ruby slippers. Add duct tape to the top of each pool noodle to prevent the legs from rolling over and will stick against the wall.

Overall, this is a unique and inexpensive Halloween decor to add to your desk at work or outside of your house. Also, I don’t know if they sell this specific decor at the store, but I think it would be cool to have something that is different than most people. Most likely, there won’t be many people who will have the Wizard of Oz Wicked West legs unless you recreate this DIY.
