The chills are here to taunt. You need winter socks cozy enough to warm feet. Why don’t you make one for yourself? Winter socks by Marfeti Isler are easy to make with in 10 minutes or less. Make some hot chocolate and you’re good to go.
Materials:
Directions:
Make use of your favorite measuring tape and have the dimensions of your feet measured. To determine the proper sock height, take a measurement from the instep of your foot.
Prepare two equal pieces of combed cotton for sewing. Cut out the length and width of your foot from two different materials. The open edges of both materials should be clipped before they are folded in half.
At an angle, cut the height measurement for your insteps out of the folded portion. Then, from the tip of your toes to the bottom, trace and cut a curve. Cut a different curve for the heel of your foot.
Remove both pieces of fabric and spread them out on the table one at a time until they are completely separated. Measure the whole v-shaped section of the cloth. Another fabric may be used to construct two strips by cutting a long strip of the exact measurements and folding it in half lengthwise.
It is best to stitch the sole and heel together using two pieces of cloth that have been folded inside-out. Your feet will be able to squeeze through the openings left for them.
Create the mouth of your socks by sewing each strip to the V-shaped section of both materials. Turn them upright and you’ve got the ideal pair of home-made socks, just the way you want them! Perfect for lounging around the house or going out in style!
